Sitting in a circle of folding chairs somewhere in the outer solar system, the former planets, dwarf planets, and planetoids of the Kuiper Belt are processing their feelings about the 2006 IAU General Assembly vote that changed everything. Pluto has questions. The Planet Support Group has mixed opinions. Someone is sighing. Someone is asking if they're just a Kuiper Belt Object now. The certified planets sent a fruit basket and it did not help.

The definition of a planet requires three things: orbiting the sun, hydrostatic equilibrium, and clearing the neighborhood around its orbit. Pluto completed two out of three. The neighborhood clearing requirement has been a source of ongoing astronomical and emotional debate since the moment it was introduced. The science is settled. Pluto's feelings are not.

For the astronomers, the astrophysicists, the Pluto loyalists, the planetary science enthusiasts, and everyone who still feels something about 2006 and isn't ready to talk about it in polite company but absolutely will on a t-shirt.
