Death's Head Hawkmoth Tee

Acherontia atropos, named after the river of the underworld and the Fate who cuts the thread of life. Whoever named this moth was clearly having a moment, and the result is one of the most dramatic scientific names in existence.

The skull on its back isn't a warning, it's just how the moth looks. It can squeak when disturbed and sneaks into beehives for honey by faking the bees' own scent signals. Made famous by Silence of the Lambs, feared for centuries before anyone knew what it actually was.
